Shares in Woodford's Edinburgh trust dive after shock exit

Shares in the Edinburgh investment trust were selling off this afternoon after the shock news Neil Woodford will be leaving Invesco Perpetual in April.

By 3.30pm shares were down 4.4% or 26.5p, at 575.5p, having been flat prior to the announcement, as investors hit the sell button. Although Woodford is still in charge of the trust for now, with the board saying in a statement this afternoon that there is no immediate change, some investors have nonetheless opted to exit immediately.
