Just 11% of consumers in the UK invest in emerging markets, despite 93% using a product or service from these markets daily, according to research conducted by the Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust (TEMIT).
The research found that 27.3 million people in the UK own a TV produced by South Korean company, Samsung, while one in four use a product manufactured by Turkey-based Beko. However, those same consumers are hesitant to invest in emerging markets, according to the study.
