Somerset Capital Management launches frontier markets fund

Emerging markets specialist Somerset Capital Management has launched an actively managed frontier markets fund, which comprises a portfolio of 40 to 50 companies across both growth and value stocks, Investment Week can reveal.

The MI Somerset Frontier Markets fund will be managed by Somerset partner George Birch Reynardson and will target companies in Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Somerset Capital launches feeder fund for flagship vehicle Birch Reynardson will be supported by fellow fund manager Mark Asquith and senior analyst Kumar Pandit, as well as the wider investment team at Somerset.
