St James's Place has appointed Dame Helena Morrissey to its board as a non-executive director, effective from 1 January 2020.
Morrissey left Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) last month after almost three years at the business, where she had worked as head of personal investing. Prior to her role at LGIM she was chief executive of Newton Investment Management from 2001 to 2016, having joined the company in 1984. In September, the Mail on Sunday reported Morrissey had been interviewed for governor of the Bank of England (BoE).
