Neptune's Dowey handed CIO role

Neptune has promoted James Dowey to the role of chief investment officer.

Dowey (pictured) will retain the role of chief economist alongside his new responsibilities in shaping the firm's investment views, reporting to CEO Robin Geffen. Dowey will also implement a new risk framework, continue to lead the macroeconomic research, and work with Geffen to manage Neptune's investment process. He joined Neptune as an economist in May 2007, before becoming chief economist in September 2009 and investment director in July 2010.
