Jupiter nabs Columbia Threadneedle's Heslop to run new Europe small-cap fund

Jupiter Asset Management has announced plans to launch a European smaller companies fund in Q4, to be managed by Mark Heslop who is set to join the firm from Columbia Threadneedle in September.

Heslop will join Jupiter as a European equity manager and smaller companies specialist. He joins from Columbia Threadneedle, where he has worked since 2008 and currently runs a number of its smaller company strategies including the £436m Threadneedle European Smaller Companies fund.
