Invesco Perpetual's Michael Matthews is to join Paul Causer and Paul Read as a co-manager on the firm's £5.8bn corporate bond fund at the end of the month.
The group said the appointment is in recognition of Matthews' contribution to the success of the fund and the fixed income team. Matthews already runs a number of the group's lesser known funds, and will continue to manage the Invesco Sterling Bond fund. However, as a result of the changes, he is stepping down from running the Invesco Perpetual Global Bond fund, with co-manager Stuart Edward becoming sole manager of the fund.
