Invesco is looking at launching ETFs in the ESG space, according to head of UK retail distribution Chris Lyes, as demand for the products continues unabated.
The asset manager has made a big push into the ETF space this year, notably in more esoteric areas and fixed income. Indeed, the firm hired Amundi's Hamid Asseffar in January this year to support the growth of the UK ETF business in response to "strong, continued demand" for the products. "We saw $1.5bn of net sales into the UK ETF market in Q1," Lyes said. "ETFs are beneficial for their speed to market as well as their use as building blocks in specific areas.
