Investors are becoming increasingly interested in the property sector – the latest IMA fund sales figures show net retail sales of property funds have risen seven months in a row to hit £151m in August. Income seekers are finding good opportunities for yield – the whole property market has a gross yield of 6.3%, according to IPD, versus 2.7% for the 10-year gilt and 3.4% for the UK equity market.
