At the time of writing, the Western world continues its slow march towards some semblance of normality amid cautious but growing evidence that high levels of vaccination can break the link between infections and severe Covid-19 resulting in hospitalisation and death.

While there is still clearly a long path to tread before humanity can ever return to the carefree days of yore (or even 18 months previously), one question worth examining is what happens when we eventually do go back to ‘normal' and in particular, for the healthcare industry?
