Fidelity hires veteran manger duo following Jeremy Podger's retirement

Christine Baalham and Tom Record resurface

Fidelity International has expanded its global equity team with the appointments of Christine Baalham and Tom Record as co-portfolio managers, following the retirement of Jeremy Podger after a 36-year investment career.

They will work together on the £3.2bn Fidelity Global Special Situations fund and the £4.3bn Fidelity Funds - World fund. Baalham resurfaces at Fidelity, having departed Ninety One in November after 23 years with the firm. She served as co-portfolio manager of the £544m Global Equity fund alongside Mark Breedon, who retired after 46 years. She was also a founding member of the 4Factor equity team.
