Female fund manager levels stuck at 7% mark - Tilney Bestinvest

The proportion of UK retail funds managed by women has stagnated over the past year, according a study by Tilney Bestinvest.

The firm analysed the five largest Investment Association sectors and found that, as with its previous study, just 7% are managed by women. This compares to FTSE 100 companies, where 23.5% of board positions are held by women, according to the wealth manager. The analysis revealed that the Mixed Investment 40%-85% sector had the most female fund managers with 9% of the total. The UK Equity Income sector had the lowest with just 5%.
