Direct Line CEO succeeds Quilter's Paul Feeney as FCA practitioner panel chair

Chief executive of Direct Line Group, Penny James, has been appointed chair of the Financial Conduct Authority practitioner panel.

James succeeds Quilter CEO Paul Feeney from 1 March 2022, who himself took on the role on 1 January 2021. She has served as CEO of Direct Line Group since May 2019, having first joined the firm as chief financial officer in 2017. James has also held roles at Prudential, Omega Insurance and Zurich Financial Services. The role has previously been held by Fidelity International CEO Anne Richards, former HSBC executive António Simões and Zurich Insurance CEO Tulsi Naidu.
