China's economy is growing at its slowest pace in more than a decade, causing anxiety across financial markets and raising fresh questions about its ongoing trade disputes with the US.
The country's economic growth - as measured in Q2 2019 - slowed to 6.2% year-on-year. While this number may seem large in the context of developed economies, for China it represents the lowest recorded growth rate since the 1990s.
