Despite lagging most major developed stockmarket indices in 2017, the FTSE All-Share index is trading at an all-time high.

But there are some pockets of value out there in what is a relatively unloved and under-owned UK market.  The current extremely negative sentiment towards domestically-oriented UK stocks presents selective opportunities, particularly in the consumer services sector in the form of some retail names and in the support services space via companies reliant on government spending.
