Brewin Dolphin head of fund research Ben Gutteridge has selected six key fund recommendations for 2016, across global regions.

Gutteridge (pictured) said the search for value could be difficult in 2016, as the current investment horizon remains unclear. He highlighted areas that are fundamentally attractive look expensive, such as US equities, whilst yields on ‘lower-risk' assets look "wholly unappealing". Here, he selects five core recommendations that have the potential to achieve market-beating returns over the coming year (and beyond), and one for investors willing to make a bit more risk.
