BlackRock has expanded its emerging markets active fixed income range with the launch of the Emerging Markets Impact Bond fund for its European clients.
The new fund is an actively managed unconstrained strategy seeking to deliver long-term, measurable social and environmental impact while generating an attractive total return. The intention is to invest at least 80% of total assets in a portfolio of 'Green, Social and Sustainability' (GSS) bonds issued by sovereign and corporate issuers in emerging markets. These will include impact projects in areas such as renewable energy, microfinance, ecologically sustainable food production and access to healthcare.
