Autumn of 2023 'golden period' for ITs

“It is tough, nobody seems to want or look at investment trusts anymore”. This is something said to me recently by an investor and it is a sentiment shared by many within the trust sector.

In a period of difficult markets, it is easy to argue that investment trusts are in the eye of the storm. A variety of issues have come together to put pressure on trust discounts to a degree not witnessed since the Global Financial Crisis (GFC).
