First State sets September date for range rebrand following team split

First State Stewart expects to rebrand its funds this September following its decision to split its business in two on 1 July.

First State Stewart will split into First State Stewart Asia and Stewart Investors on Wednesday, a change revealed by Investment Week earlier this year, in a bid to ease the 'burden of scale'. The former will be based in Hong Kong, while Stewart Investors - home to the likes of Angus Tulloch and Jonathan Asante - will be based in Edinburgh.   Fund names will change two months later following regulatory approval, the group said.
